My husband and I are gluten free so we generally know what we can and can't eat. We sat down and ordered our drinks and looked at. I will preface this by saying that we came with a Groupon. We took our nephew here for a nice dinner and visit, but we ended up having such horrible service it was actually comical. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn or near by, stop and give Thyme a try. Ian did have a bit of a rush, but he handled the situation cool, calm and collected making sure everyone was taken care of.
Ian was our server and was friendly and professional. My brother-in-law had an everything omelets and it looked wonderful and it was. My sister had a veggie skillet and she said it tasted very good and the veggie were perfectly done. I had a simple breakfast and it was good. Our meal was so good, we gave it a try for breakfast in the morning, since we were in the Holiday Inn. My brother-in-law had a steak sandwich which was also very good. My sister had a burger with some interesting toppings and she loved it. They also offered gluten free crust for those interested. said it is fresh and made to order and it was. I asked Erica for a recommendation between 3 options and she chose the pizza. Erica was our server and made for a fun and enjoyable dining experience. Thyme was warm and inviting with a simple varied, reasonable priced menu. I would imagine the management here do not pay servers very much, hence the inexperienced wait staff. Our server Julius was friendly but seemed very inexperienced, made some mistakes, and his service was slow even though the place was almost empty he spent a lot of time in the back or chatting by the bar. We had two glasses of 14 Hands wine nice brand at only $7 each. My wife had the Southwest Chopped Salad, very good she said though the server mixed up on the dressing. One side comes with the meal, I chose a salad. Adding the chicken was $3 extra, but I really didn't need it, the pasta with fresh mushrooms was SO delectable and delicious. I had the Alfredo Penne Pasta with Chicken. Sure the menu is limited, but the entrees are very good and expertly prepared. I still believe people are missing the boat for a good meal by not dining here. This restaurant is located inside the Holiday Inn, so one might think that it would be busy with hotel customers, but I guess they may wander outside the hotel as there are many choices and Terza is right across the street. Just like the last time dining here, the place is nearly empty on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm. This visit, we feel the service may have improved just. We dined here before, but it has been at least a year so we thought that we would try it again since we recalled the food being pretty good though the service was astonishingly terrible.
